Sportif USA, Inc was founded in 1965 in Southern California by my father, John G. Kirsch, who started selling shorts from the back of our family’s station wagon. Over time, he built a reputation for designing and building high quality and innovative outdoor clothing. His golden rule was to “provide the best quality, most durable, functional and comfortable clothing available.” Our “Original” stretch cargo shorts and pants have survived the test of time. Introduced in 1968, Sportif’s exclusive stretch fabrics are still a customer favorite and widely considered the most comfortable shorts and pants in the world. Our fabrics use Core Spun technology - a blend of durable, easy care polyester and comfortable cotton, wrapped around a core of super fine Lycra®. This technology is more expensive, but worth it. It offers as much as 30% stretch, full recovery (no bagging at the knees), and ultra durability.
